It was a cool day as we celebrated the wedding of Bryant and Eaya at the Roycroft Inn East Aurora, NY. I was really looking forward to being able to photograph a wedding Couple outdoors during the winter. These opportunities are few and far between, but if the weather cooperates, can be magical. After spending some time getting ready with both Bride and Groom at the Roycroft, we made a quick drive to Main St. in East Aurora to visit some of the shops and local splendor.   Eaya and Bryant even had a little surprise waiting for them on the Aurora Marquee (arranged for them by their family).

Eaya was a real trooper walking around in just a wedding dress in freezing temps, but the cold was taking hold so we hurried back to the Roycroft Inn for the ceremony. The Inn was opened in 1905 as accommodation to visitors and artisans of the Roycroft Campus in East Aurora, NY.   East Aurora had become a center for the American Arts and Crafts Movement. The Roycroft Inn today is a magnificent example of the fine craftsmanship of that period.

After a lovely ceremony, we headed over to Knox Farm for more outdoors photography. It being Christmas Eve, we were virtually alone, and the peace of a country farm really set the mood. After an hour of walking around and tromping through the snow, Eaya and Bryant were still going strong, but the sun was gone and I had to get the newlyweds back for their party.

I’d like to say Thank You again to Eaya and Bryant for inviting me to take part in their special day. It was my pleasure to work with you both and I wish you all the best for the future!
