Congratulations to Alan and Karen who were married this past weekend at Tonawanda Castle, Tonawanda NY.  Alan and Karen have been best friends for 25years.  Their relationship progressed over the last few years as they both started thinking who better to spend the rest of their lives with other than each other?  Leah and I began this special day at Tonawanda Castle for the getting readies.  Even though we live a mile away, this was our first time at the venue, and I loved discovering all the possibilities.  It seemed like every room I went into had another room attached, and I’m sure I didn’t see everything the Castle had to offer.  Over the last year, as I planned out the day with Alan and Karen, we’d decided to do a lot of creative time outside at the local parks, maybe even going up to Niagara Falls.  Those plans were quickly changed, though, as the forecast for the day took shape over the last week or so.  With freezing temps and high winds, we kept outside time to as little as possible.  I took the bridal party down to Veteran’s Park and over to Niawada (less than 5min) and we were back at the Castle in no time flat.   The ceremony took place on the second floor of Tonawanda Castle, with cocktail hour and reception on the first floor.  A few things to note are the extensive details and decorations Alan, Karen and their friends and family placed all over the Castle.  It seemed like everywhere I turned there was something else personal to the Couple that really made the place feel like they were inviting everyone into their home, to share in the love they’d built up for each other over the years.  Dinner and dancing ensued and as the band played on, we said our goodbyes.  Thank you again to Alan and Karen for inviting us to be a part of your special day.  We wish you both all the best for the future.
