Congratulations to Erin and Brett who were married this past weekend at O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow, East Aurora NY.  This wonderful Couple met several years ago and have been inseparable ever since.  Brett (a planner by nature) put together a very romantic surprise proposal for Erin at The Terrance at Delaware Park.  He’d invited all their family and friends, and told her they were going to a work party.  Erin had no idea and it was a spectacular surprise – Brett was nervous, excited and freaking out all in one.  Of course, she said yes and the rest is history.  Leah and I began their special day as always with the guys and girls getting readies.  The girls had this stylized AirBnB (jealous), but the guys didn’t seem to mind because they had kiddie toys!  We’d planned to drive the short distance to Knox Farm for the First Look.  I found this cool new spot just inside the main gate (so I didn’t need to worry about making everyone walk too far), and I think the staging worked very well.  It was a sunny day, a bit warm, but nothing like the rest of the summer has been.  I proceeded to take Erin, Brett and the bridal party around the stable area for some creatives.  After, we all made our way over to O’Brien’s for the ceremony and reception.  Erin and Brett chose to mark their special day with a wine box ceremony, which they’ll open a year from now, read each other’s letters and drink the wine.  I’m seeing this tradition incorporated more and more lately, and I think it’s a really nice way for a Couple to remember their day.  Dinner and dancing followed.  I wasn’t disappointed with the turn out on the dance floor, and before I knew it, the night had come to an end.  We decided to cap things off with sparklers, which was a little risky given how much drinking had been going on, but everyone came out unscathed in the end.  Thank you again to Erin and Brett for inviting Leah and I to be a part of your special day.  We wish you both all the best for the future!
