Jeff & Amanda | O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow Wedding Photography

Congratulations to Jeff and Amanda who married this weekend at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, with a reception following at O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow, East Aurora, NY. This was the second of two weddings for Leah and I this weekend. While the rain had passed from the day before, it was replaced by high winds, which any Bride will tell you is almost just as bad! The sun was shining, though, as we made our way to East Aurora for Amanda’s getting ready. Everything was in full swing when we arrived, but all too soon, it was crunch time. Once we got Amanda into her dress, we took a few minutes for portraits and a quick Dad First Look, before rushing out the door to make it back north in time.

After a lovely ceremony, it was time for Creatives and Bridal Party photos. Jeff and Amanda decided on Hotel Henry in Buffalo as their preferred location. This amazing structure is one of my favorite places to take wedding parties; there’re so many different angles to shoot from, and enough space to share with other parities if necessary. From there, we drove back to East Aurora to finish out the evening at O’Brien’s Sleepy Hollow.

We arrived just as the sun was setting over the hills, and I was able to grab just a few shots before the moment was gone. Dinner and dancing ensued. A fun part of the evening was the bouquet and garter toss. Over the years, this tradition has gone away it seems like, but a few Couples still like to incorporate it here and there. For one of Amanda’s bridesmaids (who’s never attended a wedding before), it was a bit of an eye opener! Before we knew what hit us, the day was done.
