Barry & Katie | La Galleria Wedding Photography

   Congratulations to Barry and Katie who married this weekend at St Casimir’s RC Church with a reception following at La Galleria, Orchard Park, NY.  This was the first of two weddings for Leah and I this weekend.  Fall is finally here, and it made itself known this day.  We arrived for the getting readies with a definite chill in the air and cloudy skies.  I first worked with Barry and Katie this past January, on one of the coldest days, and we joked at the time that this may be foreshadowing their wedding day.  However, as soon as we walked in the door of Katie’s parent’s house, the warmth and familial love could be felt everywhere.  Katie has a large family, and they all have a great sense of humor.   The best way to describe it is to say these are people you want to hug.  

   After spending some time with Barry and his groomsmen, we returned to get Katie into her dress, and then made our way to St. Casimir’s Church.  Beautiful.  This church is amazing, inside and out.  I could have spent half my day here with the Couple just exploring.  Hopefully I’ll have more opportunities to work here again.  Next, we drove to Knox Farms State Park for creatives and bridal party photos.  This is another of my favorite locations.  It doesn’t matter the weather, there are so many different places I can take Couples.

   Finally, it was time to head to La Galleria for the reception.  The highlight of the evening was probably Katie dancing with all five of her brothers and the very special song her father wrote just for her.  We capped off the night with our traditional night shot, then said our goodbyes.  Thank you again to Barry and Katie for inviting us on this journey together.  We wish you all the best for the future!
