Congratulations to Dave and Melissa who were married this past weekend at the Hotel at The Lafayette Courtyard, Buffalo, NY.  The theme of the day was laid-back and comfortable.  Our happy Couple have been together for many years and wanted their special day to be stress-free.  We split our time between Bride and Groom for the getting readies, before staging the First Look in the Courtyard.  As it worked out, while the moment itself was between the Couple, both getting ready rooms overlooked the Courtyard, so family and friends were able to view too, while still being unobtrusive.  After, we took Dave and Melissa on a short walk to Niagara Square and City Hall for some one-on-one creatives.  An hour later we began bridal party photos and family formals in Lafayette Square, before giving everyone some down time before the ceremony.  It was a tight squeeze in the Courtyard for the 100 or so guests, but lovely all the same.  Dinner and dancing followed, and in true Pearl Street Catering fashion, the portion sizes were enormous (but delicious)!  This was my first time shooting the Courtyard area of the Hotel at The Lafayette, and I think for smaller, more intimate weddings, this is the way to go.  The private Courtyard area even serves as a lovely evening photo opportunity.  All too soon, our day was over.  Leah and I really enjoyed our time spent with Dave and Melissa and wish to thank them for inviting us to be a part of their special day.  We wish you both all the best for the future!
