It was my pleasure to celebrate the wedding of Brian and Rachel at the Foundry Hotel & Banquet facility, Buffalo, NY this past weekend. Our rainy day forecast turned out to be amazing, and this fun, energetic Couple was great to work with. I began and ended my day at the Foundry. This old manufacturing plant has been reinvented into a spacious facility for all occasions, boasting an industrial look with floor to ceiling windows. With the weather on our side, we headed off to the Japanese Gardens for the First Look. Everything was in bloom, with vibrant colors as our backdrop. This is such a great moment for the Bride and Groom to not only see each other for the first time, but to have a few moments “alone” before the real chaos of the wedding day. From there, we took a quick trip over to Niagara Square and then back to the Albright Knox area and finally ended at the Foundry. One very important request for the day was to do Family formals before the Ceremony, and I’m so happy we were able to stick to our schedule. It made the creative time a little rushed, but this small sacrifice allowed for Brian and Rachel to enjoy their full cocktail hour (a common request from Couples, but not so easily achieved most of the time). After a lovely Ceremony in the Foundry courtyard and a laid-back cocktail hour, it was time for dinner and dancing. I managed to steal the Newlyweds a couple of times throughout the night for more creatives and before I knew what hit me it was sparkler time. The days really do go by quickly when you’re having fun! Thank you again to Brian and Rachel for making this another memorable day and I wish you both all the best in the future!
