Casey and Catherine | Delaware Park Wedding Photos

Congratulations to Casey and Catherine who were married this past weekend in the Rose Garden at Delaware Park, with a reception following at Marcy Casino, Buffalo NY.  As we near the end of Spring, this simple, relaxed garden party was the perfect accompaniment to a beautiful day.  Casey and Catherine first met in college, during a meeting of Engineers for a Sustainable World. He loves Star Wars and she Harry Potter.  Their friendship and love grew over time, till neither could imagine a future without the other.  I first worked with them last year for their engagement session.  As every Couple, they were a bit nervous in front of the camera.  But, they soon relaxed, and it made the wedding day go so much smoother right from the start.

I began with Casey at their apartment in the Elmwood Village, before driving the short distance to Hotel Henry to be with Catherine.  The grounds are a wonderful place to walk, and the hotel itself is so large that we planned to use it as our First Look location in case of rain.  Thankfully, we didn’t have to worry about the weather, and we’re able to stay outside for the entire day.

After some creatives at Hotel Henry and Albright Knox Art Gallery, we had another first look with Catherine’s dad at Hoyt Lake.  All too soon, it was time to prepare for the Ceremony in the Rose Garden.  Their sisters’ speeches brought everyone to tears (my favorite moments to capture)!  As the usual festivities for the evening were underway, I stole Casey and Catherine a couple more times for some sunset and night photos.  It really was a beautiful day and I’m so happy I was able to share this journey with the two of them.  Thank you again to Casey and Catherine, I wish you both all the best for the future!
