Congratulations to Brandon and Elizabeth on their wedding this past weekend at the Assumption of the Blessed church followed by a reception at the Atrium @ Rich’s, Buffalo, NY.  Leah and I began our day with scattered showers and high spirits.  We juggled the chaos that inevitably comes with the getting ready phase, and had all relevant parties done up and on their way to the church on time.  After a lovely Ceremony, the real rain began, so family formals were relocated back inside.  Elizabeth had had her heart set on the Japanese Gardens for creatives, though.  I needed to encourage the whole bridal party to brave the rain and venture outside, and luckily, the weather gods smiled upon us, easing the torrent for a short while.  We made our way over to Larkin Square (where Brandon proposed to Elizabeth) just as the sun came out and the humidity ramped up!  By this point in the day everyone was eager to make their way over to Rich’s for cocktail hour and the reception.  This was my first of three receptions I’ll be doing at this venue this year.  The space is amazing and, if given the opportunity, I could spend all day exploring the possibilities.  I just hope I have a chance during my future receptions to play with some of the ideas that came to mind.  I would like to give Rich’s Catering a two thumbs up on the food….Simply Wonderful!  I’m lucky enough to sample a wide range of venues every weekend throughout the season, and this was one of the best so far.  After dinner, dancing ensued and the party began.  I took moments here and there for a few more creatives, but as always, my evening soon came to an end.  Thank you again to Brandon and Elizabeth for letting us be a part of your special day.  Leah and I wish you both all the best for the future!
